Last week’s post was about Gratitude, and how being grateful in advance can help us to get through adversity.
I was having a conversation about the post with someone who expanded on the theme, and I thought it was worth passing on.
He said that when he is grateful for what is coming in, he tries to remember to be grateful for what is going.
Because it’s always a balance.
It’s like the rule for keeping your space from getting cluttered – for everything that comes in, something has to go to make room.
It’s a flow.
I thought that reversing the equation would be pretty helpful for me.
When I think about something that is going – especially when I’m not happy about it – I can try to be grateful for what is coming in.
Because something is always coming in.
Even if I don’t yet know what it is, something good is coming. I don’t have to solve for it (x) now. I can wait and trust.
What do you think about this? Do you have any wisdom about gratitude that you’d like to share? Please go to the blog on the website (here) and comment!
And remember: in all things – progress, not perfection!
Love and light, Maggie
