How to be more like your dog. Ooooo, I love that!

So my boy Jordan and I started doing something years ago when we talk on the phone.

When one of us is telling a story, the other one randomly interrupts with how much we love something that’s a very minor aspect of the story. It started with corned beef….

We think it’s hysterical.

Anyone listening to us would just think we’re idiots. We love that, too.

It’s part of our routine, one of our characters. It’s almost like another person joined our conversation – a person who just loves stuff.

And then, an interesting thing happened.

We met someone who just loves stuff. He randomly says, “ooooo, I love that” in the same tone of voice.

And he means it. Genuinely.

He’s like a human golden retriever. Let me tell you, that’s high praise in my book.

No matter what is going on, he seems to be able to find something to love. He doesn’t work at it, it’s just who he is.

Do you know someone who seems to always be wagging their invisible tail?

I know we often anthropomorphize animals. But this week, I am going to look for the wonderful qualities of animals in the people around me.

I looked it up. The word for that is zoomorphism.

I’m also going to see if I can be more like my dog. I love that!

And remember: in all things – progress, not perfection!

Love and light,

Maggie
