I am astounded sometimes, at how little effort it takes to be inspired.
Five minutes to open up an email and actually read the blog that someone sent me.
Ten minutes to pick a Ted Talk and listen.
Practice a little bibliomancy – isn’t that a great word? It means to open up a book to a random page and just read for inspiration.
Every time I make the tiniest effort, I am reminded how nourishing inspiration can be.
Why is it so easy for me to forget? It’d be easy for me to find something wrong with me as an explanation. But today I choose to believe that the reason I forget is so that I can have the joy of rediscovery.
Find yourself some inspiration.
Go out and actively look for it.
Do things that you might not ordinarily do, look places where you haven’t looked in a while.
Get out of your head and into the world. Look up, look around.
Listen to someone else’s story and their wisdom.
You can learn something from everyone (hey, learning what you don’t want is still learning!)
Make time to be inspired – read, listen, look, watch, taste, touch, smell. One of these, all of these.
We dreamt in December. We opened up our brain for inspiration. We’ve been thinking and taking little steps toward our dream. Now we add some more inspiration. It’s worth repeating.
And remember: in all things – progress, not perfection!
