Conversations in Color Thinking

What would a conversation be like in a world where color thinking is already a thing? I love to imagine them.

I like to think that they would be like the ones we used to have in the dining hall in grad school – where we would stay after breakfast, drinking coffee and talking until we had to go to class.

We luxuriated in learning about each other’s differing life experiences and points of view.

We were thoroughly absorbed in the art of the conversation and each other. We asked more questions than gave opinions.

We really listened to what people said, because we were insatiably curious.

We actively poked for more possible answers – sometimes playfully, sometimes challenging, sometimes for the recreation of finding a different way of looking at something.

I’m sure you’ve had conversational experiences like these.  When and where?

I think a conversation in a color thinking world is simply a conversation where the boundaries of black or white thinking are eagerly crossed…where a path is worn so thoroughly that the boundaries aren’t there anymore!

In the meantime, remember these things: You are loved. We are all loved. Let’s all be kind. And in all things – progress, not perfection!

Love and light, Maggie
