I’m tired of so much noise. I’m tired of all the unpleasant crap 2020 has brought. I could go on and on making a list of things that I’m tired of…
But really, I’m just tired. Exhausted. Frayed. My brain is full. My heart is heavy. I’m a bit anxious. I have things that need to heal.
I need to rest. Do you?
I read something in Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper a couple of weeks ago that really stuck with me. When you’re tired, you don’t need something else to do.
You don’t need me to give you a long list of self-care ideas.
You don’t need something else to do.
You need rest. You’ve earned it. You don’t have to rest for ever, just until you’re rested!
Rest is magical.
In the meantime, remember these things: You are loved. We are all loved. Let’s all be kind. And in all things – progress, not perfection!
